Fixed

  • Fix the broken CircleCI badge in the README: it pointed to the old repository name aws-load-balancer-controller-app.
  • The helm.sh/chart label is valid for long chart versions: the 63-character cut trims the whole trailing run of -, . and _.
  • The VPA policy names the controller container again. Since the upstream chart became an aliased dependency the container is upstream, so the policy for aws-load-balancer-controller matched nothing and the VPA scaled the controller with no CPU floor. On a cluster with 6,600 Services it set a 230m CPU limit, the v3.6.0 cold start timed out on the Service informer sync, and the controller crash-looped.

Added

  • verticalPodAutoscaler.minAllowed (default cpu: 200m) sets the floor of the VPA recommendation for the controller container, in the workload chart and forwarded from the bundle chart.
